Yesterday was the day I’ve been dreading since the first day of summer…the day I went back to work. I had such an amazing summer with Jackson. The best summer I could have imagined. I wish the days at the park, the time in the water, the cuddles, and play dates could go on forever. Being back to work makes me savor and soak in every single second we have together. I look forward to daycare pick-up, dinner time, bath time, evening snuggles, and story time. I count down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds to the weekend.
Today was one of those days when I didn’t want Jackson to go to bed. Yes, I have the days when he is whining nonstop and I honestly can’t wait for him to be in bed so I can take a breath and relax. Today, however, was not one of those days. Today, he was his perfect little self and made me smile a million smiles. I’m not sure what I did to deserve such an amazing little boy, but I sure am lucky. He is sweet, funny, stubborn, smart, and all-around awesome.
Tomorrow I can’t wait for him to wake up, so we can have another amazing day. We will play, snuggle, and laugh and hope the day will never end.
